Tara sprang out of bed at the usual time, so early that the stars were still out. She let herself look up at the stars and the moon for just a little while. The white light shone over the great dream-city of the humans, over Nine Towers, and she could just make out an airship surrounded by crackling blue. More travelers from the Empire.
She shook herself. She really couldn’t be lingering here. She bounded off to start her long day, singing quietly to herself as she went.

Neko Machi/NaNoWriMo

So, last night

posted up the first bit of real content for Neko Machi ([link]). Admittedly it's just the chapter heading (with a lovely picture of Kitty), but from here on we're aiming to have regular Monday-Wednesday-Friday updates. Check it out! Tell your friends!

I'm also participating in NaNoWriMo again this year ([link]), and bending the rules a little to take a stab at finally finishing UFO Girl. So far it's going pretty well, but I need to step up my writing a bit to keep up.

Hey Ewen, you might find this of interest when it comes to Mascot-Tan: Windows 7 gets an official OS-Tan You have to wonder what's next?

I had not heard about that; thanks for pointing it out to me. It's simultaneously awesome and disturbing, though I'd been wondering for a while whether Microsoft would have some kind of overt reaction to the OS-tan thing.

I had just heard about it myself. The fact that they went so far as to hire a seiyuu to do voice clips for the theme was pretty interesting. Now if they only made it available here in the States (doubt it, but it'd be cool).
