My current RPG project is a game called Raspberry Heaven, and it's about heartwarming every day stuff with Japanese high school girls. It's heavily inspired by Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star, Hidamari Sketch, and Ichigo Mashimaro, and for the game I decided to make some original characters that I could use in yon-koma strips to illustrate stuff about the game and just for fun.
Their "Quirks" (the main character trait in the game) are:
These are just my first stab at character designs for them, and hopefully the final version that would appear in the game will be done by someone more talented than me.
I've tried thinking about stories like that sometimes, but it can't help but end up swarming with magic robots. XD that suits the genre, sure, but that's not how it's supposed to be done ;3

When were talking about anime, pretty much anything gets mixed with high school life. That's part of what I like about Azumanga Daioh and others like it; they represent almost a baseline for what's neat about anime.
(And, you know, this is the guy who created Neko Machi...)
